My main influence in photography has always been the Notorious BIG. I just wanted to capture moments in time, the same way he did in rhyme or as Ive put it before ” I couldn’t rap like that but I knew I could snap like that”
Hence projects like #alldakingsrdead. - Story telling.
Christopher Wallace was one of the greatest story tellers ever. Its true regardless wether they admit it or not.
Every time my images are called beautiful, or moving you are talking about Hip Hop and its influence.
Romeo and Juliet is cool but I prefer ‘Me and my bitch’
Fantastic Mr Fox is amazing but I prefer ‘Gimme the loot’
I love Pulp Fiction but Id rather listen to ‘Niggas Bleed’
The Wires alright but I prefer listening to ‘Warning’
I say all of that to say this -
Its been clear to me for a while that the further I go, and the more I create the tougher it will be for anyone to deny that Christopher is as valid as William ( Shakespeare ) & co. Look at the magic this man inspired me to make.
Place him in that rapper/black/ignorant box all you want, the only problems is we don’t believe in your boxes any more.
